A corporate group with a global network encompassing a broad scope including chemical, resin, medical, information/electronics, IT and security equipment.Computar brand was established in 1980 by the CBC Group as one of the manufacturer’s brands.
A hybrid-style business structure was created with a global network and abundant expertise as a general trading company with more than an 80-year history enhanced by technical strength as a manufacturer. Customer needs are flexibly accommodated from unique planning, development and production to structuring of distribution and sales routes.
The origin goes back to CBC Co., Ltd. (name in those days: Doi Utaro Shoten; name from 1935 to 1999: Chugai-Boueki) incorporated as a merchant house handling raw chemical materials with headquarters in Tokyo, Japan in the 1920s. In the 1960s after World War II, business globalization was actively promoted beginning with branches opening in Hong Kong, New York and London, and in the 1970s, conversion of each branch into local branches progressed. A business network is now formed suitable for a global corporation both in name and in reality with overseas affiliated companies and branches at more than 30 locations in the world.
In terms of business, diversification as well as advancement into manufacturing business progressed with the previous trading business at the core since the 1970s. Since "A Multi-tiered Creative Trading Company" was upheld in the 2000s, we have come to aim at value-added service by properly understanding the need of the times, without remaining in the existing framework of a trading business or manufacturing business.
